HOLIDAYS AND BUSINESS HOURS

2.70.010 Holidays and business hours.
The City Hall and city offices shall be open to the public and for the transaction of business from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day except the following days on which City Hall and city offices will be closed:
A. Every Friday.
B. Every Saturday.
C. Every Sunday.
D. January 1st (New Year’s Day).
E. Third Monday in January (Martin Luther King’s birthday).
F. Third Monday in February (Presidents’ Day).
G. Last Monday in May (Memorial Day).
H. July 4th (Independence Day).
I. First Monday in September (Labor Day).
J. November 11th (Veterans’ Day).
K. Fourth Thursday in November (Thanksgiving Day).
L. Friday following Thanksgiving Day.
M. December 24th (Christmas Eve).
N. December 25th (Christmas Day).
O. December 31st (New Year’s Eve).
P. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed.

2.70.020 Changes by resolution.
The city council may, by resolution, alter the hours for which City Hall and a city office may be open for the transaction of business, when those hours are at variance from those specified in CMC 2.70.010. [Ord. 325 § 2, 2012; Ord. 91-6; Code 1990 § 2.6.02.]
