Division 5. Violations and Penalties
9185.1 Misdemeanor.
Every person violating any provision of this Chapter or the terms or conditions of any permit or other approval granted pursuant to this Chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor. Conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00, or by imprisonment for not to exceed six (6) months, or by both fine and imprisonment.
Each separate day or any portion thereof during which any violation of this Chapter, or any permit or approval thereunder, occurs or continues constitutes a separate offense and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable as provided in this Section.
9185.2 Public Nuisance.
Any condition caused or permitted to exist in violation of any of the provisions of this Chapter or in violation of any permit or approval thereunder shall be deemed a public nuisance. Each day that such a condition continues shall be deemed to be a new and separate offense.
9185.3 Past Actions and Obligations Previously Incurred.
Neither the adoption of this Chapter nor the repeal hereby of any ordinance of this City shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as a waiver of any license or penalty at said effective date due and unpaid under such ordinance, nor be construed as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance relating to the collection of any such license or penalty or the penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof, nor to affect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in lieu thereof, required to be posted, filed or deposited pursuant to any ordinance, and all rights and obligations thereunto appertaining shall continue in full force and effect.
