2.04.010 Place.

All official meetings of the city council shall be held at the Dinuba City Hall situated at 405 East El Monte Way in the city of Dinuba. (Ord. 693 § 1 (part), 1986: Ord. 569 § 1, 1977: Ord. 527 § 1, 1974: Ord. 319 § 1, 1958: prior code § 1111)

2.04.020 Time.

Unless and until changed by ordinance or resolution, the regular meetings of the city council will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. On the second Tuesday of each month the meeting shall commence immediately after the city council work session established by Section 2.04.035 or shall commence at six-thirty p.m., whichever shall occur latter. On the fourth Tuesday of each month the meeting shall commence at six-thirty p.m. on said day. 2.04.030 Adjournment.

Any regular meeting may be adjourned from time to time until the business before the council is completed. (Prior code § 1 l 13)

2.04.035 Work session.

Unless and until changed by ordinance or resolution, the city council shall meet in a work session on the second Tuesday of each month at the Dinuba City Hall at 405 East El Monte Way in the city of Dinuba. The work session shall commence at five-thirty p.m. on said day. (Ord. 2003-1 § 1 (part), 2003)

2.04.040 Special meetings.

Special meetings may be called by the mayor or by three members of the council, by written notice delivered to each member of the council at least three hours before the time specified for the proposed meeting. (Prior code § 1114)

2.04.050 Compensation—City council.

Each member of the council shall receive, as salary, the sum of three hundred dollars as provided in Government Code Section 36516. (Ord. 684 § 1, 1985: Ord. 653 § 1, 1983)

2.04.080 Health benefits—City council.

Pursuant to Sections 53200 through 53210 of the State Government Code, effective July l, 2003, the city shall make payment for premiums to city-approved health and welfare benefits as elected by members of the city council up to a level that is no greater than the most generous health and welfare benefits provided to the city’s nonsafety public employees.

Pursuant to Section 53202 of the State Government Code, the city, in providing health and welfare benefits may approve plans of their officers and employees or may contract with one or more admitted insurers, health service organizations, or legal service organizations for such plan or plans of health and welfare benefits as the city shall determine to be in the best interests of the city and the officers and employees electing to accept the benefits. Approval of or application for such benefits may be made by the local agency upon its own motion or with the consent of the legislative body after considering the preference of the employees of the city, and two or more alternative plans of health and welfare benefits may be offered to the employees if the city determines that such action is desirable.

Pursuant to Section 53202.2 of the State Government Code, the city council shall, by resolution, prescribe such rules, regulations and procedures as may properly implement the system, to provide for its administration and to advise its officers and employees of the terms and provisions of the system or systems as approved or adopted and carried into effect.
