5.75.010 Public dance defined – Regulated.
(a) “Public dance” is defined as any gathering of persons in or upon any premises, other than a private home or residence, where dancing in any form or style is participated in, whether as the main purpose for such a gathering or as an incident to some other purpose. “Public dance” shall not include any adult-oriented business as defined in Section 18.25.030.
(b) No public dance shall be conducted between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on any day.
(c) Violation of this section shall be deemed a misdemeanor, notwithstanding any other provision of this code. Violation of this section also shall be deemed a nuisance and civil action to abate, enjoin or otherwise cause the cessation of such nuisance may be taken.
