Ordinance No. 950 of the city of Fremont, adopted on June 26, 1973, by the city council of the city of Fremont, without the provisions thereof being codified as part of the Fremont Municipal Code, hereby is referred to by its title to inform the general public and persons subject to regulation thereunder that said ordinance is a general ordinance of the city of Fremont adopted by the city council of the city of Fremont to protect the health, safety or welfare of the people of the city of Fremont, with the same force and effect as other general ordinances, the provisions of which are incorporated verbatim into the Fremont Municipal Code:
An Ordinance of the City of Fremont To Regulate the Construction, Repair, Reconstruction, Destruction or Abandonment of Wells Within the Boundaries of the City of Fremont.

8.30.020 Citation of chapter regulating water wells.
This chapter, said Ordinance No. 950, and all amendments thereto may be collectively referred to and cited as the “water well regulation ordinance” of the city of Fremont. (1990 Code § 3-10001.)
8.30.030 Enforcement of water well regulations.
Said Ordinance No. 950 provides that the Alameda County water district shall have substantial powers and duties in the administration and enforcement of the provisions thereof, as an agent of and on behalf of the city of Fremont. Any person interested in or affected by the administration or enforcement of said ordinance should normally first make known his/her interest or concern to said Alameda County water district and its officers; provided, that the city clerk shall make available for inspection and review a copy of said ordinance to any person requesting the same. 8.30.040 Report to city by district.
Upon request of the city council or of the city manager of the city of Fremont, the Alameda County water district acting through its board of directors or its general manager-chief engineer shall submit to the city any report or other information concerning the administration and enforcement of the regulations of the water well regulation ordinance of the city of Fremont which is requested by the city council or city manager, as the case may be.
