DETERMINATION OF ZONING COMPLIANCE

18.240.010 Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to establish a procedure for determining compliance with the provisions of this title. (Ord. 9-2014 § 33, 3-4-14.)

18.240.020 Required when no building permit is required.

Prior to the commencement of any commercial, industrial, or other nonresidential activity that does not require a building permit, the applicant shall request a determination of zoning compliance for the proposed use. An application under Chapter 5.05 (Business Taxes) shall serve as a request to determine zoning compliance of the proposed use. (Ord. 9-2014 § 33, 3-4-14.)

18.240.030 Optional determination.

Any person may make an application to determine whether a proposed or existing use on a particular piece of land complies with the provisions of this title. (Ord. 9-2014 § 33, 3-4-14.)

18.240.040 Application.

Applications for a determination of zoning compliance may only be filed with the property owner’s consent and on a form prescribed by the city. The application shall include all required fees and/or deposits and all information and materials required by the city. (Ord. 9-2014 § 33, 3-4-14.)

18.240.050 Issuance.

The zoning administrator shall issue a written determination regarding whether an existing or proposed use complies with the requirements of this title. (Ord. 9-2014 § 33, 3-4-14.)
