10.44.010 Establishment of crosswalks.
A. The City Council may establish, designate and maintain crosswalks at intersections and other places by appropriate devices, marks or lines upon the surface of the roadway.
B. Crosswalks may be established and maintained at intersections within the central traffic district and at such other intersections where the City Council determines that there is a particular hazard to pedestrians crossing the roadway. 10.44.020 Crossing in central traffic district.
When crosswalks are established, no pedestrian shall cross a roadway other than by a crosswalk in the central traffic district, as defined herein, or in any business district (as defined in CVC § 235). (Ord. 1243 § 2, 2024; Ord. 1005 § 2, 2003. Code 1964 § 12.52.020.)
