The 2022 California Mechanical Code (Part 4 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations), including Chapter 1, Division II, “Administration,” based on the 2021 Uniform Mechanical Code, as published by IAPMO, is hereby adopted. One complete copy of the same is on file and is open for inspection by the public in the office of the city clerk and designated as the mechanical code for the city of Highland. The building official is hereby designated as the authority charged with the administration and enforcement of this code. (Ord. 457 § 8, 2022; Ord. 438 § 9, 2019)
15.24.020 Purpose.
The purpose of these codes is to prescribe regulations for the construction, repair, alteration, enlargement, equipment, maintenance, addition to, replacement, demolition and relocation in regards to mechanical installations, modifications and systems. (Ord. 457 § 8, 2022; Ord. 438 § 9, 2019)
