12-04.020 Naming or change of name—Procedure.
12-04.010 City roads defined.
All public roads and highways within the city of Laguna Hills, state of California, which have been acquired by the city either by purchase, dedication or condemnation proceedings, are declared to be city roads, and all roads and highways that shall hereafter be acquired by either purchase, dedication or condemnation proceedings shall be and remain city roads. 12-04.020 Naming or change of name—Procedure.
Whenever the City Council finds that a name should be adopted or that the existing name of any public street or private street should be changed, the City Council shall hold a public hearing on the proposed name for, or the change of name of, such street. Notice of such hearing shall be given by posting notice in at least three public places along the street or streets proposed to be affected, such posting to be complete at least ten days before the day set for the hearing. At the time set for the hearing or at any time to which the hearing may be continued the City Council shall hear and consider proposals to adopt a name for, or change the name of, the street mentioned in the notice and objections to such proposal. At or after the conclusion of the hearing the City Council may adopt a name for, or change the name of such street, and upon the adoption or change thereof shall make an order and file said order with the City Council officially designating the name for such street.
