2.08.030 Redevelopment agency.
2.08.010 Meetings.
The time and place of regular meetings of the City Council shall be established by resolution. [Ord. 693 § 1, 1984; Ord. 597 § 1, 1979].
2.08.015 Alternate locations.
Notwithstanding LEMC 2.08.010, City Council meetings may be held at alternate locations within the corporate limits of the City in the following situations:
A. A regular City Council meeting may be held at an alternate location when the City Council so directs at a prior regular City Council meeting, or at an adjourned regular City Council meeting, or at a special City Council meeting, or at an adjourned special City Council meeting.
B. A special City Council meeting may be held at an alternate location when the written notice of the special City Council meeting calls for it to be held at such alternate location.
C. An emergency City Council meeting may be held at an alternate location when the notice of the emergency City Council meeting calls for it to be held at such alternate location.
D. A regular City Council meeting, an adjourned regular City Council meeting, a special City Council meeting, an adjourned special City Council meeting, an emergency City Council meeting, and an adjourned emergency City Council meeting may all be adjourned to an alternate location.
E. If, by reason of fire, flood, earthquake or other emergency, it is unsafe for the City Council to meet at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, City Council meetings may be held for the duration of the emergency at such alternate location as is designated by the Mayor or, in his absence, the Mayor Pro Tem. 2.08.020 Compensation.
Members of the City Council shall each receive compensation for their services in the sum of $1,600 per month. [Ord. 1497 § 1, 2024; Ord. 1477 § 1, 2022; Ord. 1390 § 1, 2018; Ord. 1201 § 1, 2006; Ord. 752 § 1; Ord. 706 § 1, 1981; Ord. 433 § 1, 1966].
2.08.025 City Council elections.

2.08.026 Extension of terms of office.
Repealed by Ord. 1386. [Ord. 1133 § 2, 2004].
2.08.030 Redevelopment agency.
A. There is a need for a redevelopment agency to function within the City.
B. Pursuant to the provisions of Health and Safety Code Section 33200, the City Council declares itself to be the redevelopment agency of the City.
C. Redevelopment agency members shall receive $30.00 per meeting up to a maximum of four meetings a month as compensation for their services. In addition, members shall receive their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties. [Ord. 1211 § 1, 2007; Ord. 605-B §§ 1, 2, 1980].
