9.20.010 Possession of knives or hatchets restricted.

It is unlawful for any person to possess in the city park any hatchet, ax, machete, brush knife or other device, other than a legal pocket knife and/or cutlery necessary for preparation of food, capable of cutting, defacing or mutilating trees or shrubs. (Ord. 456 §7, 1970)

9.20.020 Possession of firearms prohibited--Exemptions.

A.    It is unlawful for any person to use firearms of any kind or other weapons within the boundaries of the city including: air rifles or pistols, gas rifles or pistols, BB guns, spring guns, pellet guns, bows and arrows, slingshots, or any instrument that can be loaded with and fire blank cartridges.

B.    A peace officer acting in the discharge of his duties is exempted from provisions of this section.

C.    Persons possessing valid concealed weapons permits issued by the state are exempted from provisions of this section. (Ord. 505 (part), 1974: Ord. 456 §8, 1970)
