PLANNING COMMISSION1

2.12.020 Compensation—Ex officio members—Appointment.
2.12.010 Established.
A city planning commission is established and created under and by authority of Section 65300 et seq. of the state Government Code. (Prior code § 2.59).
2.12.020 Composition—Ex officio members—Appointment.
The city planning commission shall consist of nine members as follows: Seven members not officials of the city; and two members officials of the city and such officials or their designated deputies shall be members ex officio. The ex officio members of the commission shall have no voting rights with respect to matters pending before or considered by the commission. The members of the commission shall be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the City Council. (Prior code § 2.60).
2.12.030 Terms of members.
The terms of the members of the commission first appointed and the terms of their successors shall be as provided by the Conservation and Planning Act. (Prior code § 2.61).
2.12.040 Powers—Duties.
The planning commission and all the members thereof shall have the powers and duties provided for by the Conservation and Planning Act and amendments thereto or by other statutes of the state, or laws of this city. (Prior code § 2.62).
