PEACE OFFICER AND DISPATCHER TRAINING1

2.40.010 Intention to qualify under state law.

The city declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state under the provisions of Section 13522, Chapter 1, Title 4, Part 4 of the state Penal Code. (Ord. 796 § 1, 1989: prior code § 2.86).

2.40.020 Adherence to standards established by state.

Pursuant to Sections 13510(c) and 13522 of the state Penal Code, the city will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). (Ord. 786 § 3, 1989: prior code § 2.87).

2.40.030 Standards for public safety dispatcher personnel.

Pursuant to Section 13512, Chapter 1, of the State Penal Code, the Commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that the city’s public safety dispatcher personnel adhere to the standards for selection and training established by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. (Ord. 796 § 4, 1989).
