BUILDING REHABILITATION APPEALS BOARD

2.26.010 Created.
In order to hear appeals provided for by the building code of the City, there is created a Building Rehabilitation Appeals Board. (Ord. 480 § 1, 1982)
2.26.020 Composition.
The Building Rehabilitation Appeals Board shall consist of five members who are qualified to pass on matters pertaining to substandard buildings and property. (Ord. 480 § 2, 1982)
2.26.030 Appointment of members.
The members of the Building Rehabilitation Appeals Board shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council in accordance with PMC 2.08.030 and shall hold office at the pleasure of the City Council of the City. (Ord. 1357 § 2, 2008; Ord. 480 § 3, 1982)
2.26.040 Rules and regulations.
The Building Rehabilitation Appeals Board shall adopt reasonable rules and regulations for conducting its investigations. (Ord. 480 § 4, 1982)
2.26.050 City Engineer to be ex officio member.
The City Engineer of the City, or designee, shall be an ex officio nonvoting member of the Board and shall act as secretary. The City Engineer or designee shall keep a record of all proceedings and notify all parties concerned of the findings and determinations of the Building Rehabilitation Appeals Board.
