CALIFORNIA RESIDENTIAL CODE

15.26.010 Adoption.
A. Pursuant to Sections 50022.1 to 50022.10, inclusive, of the Government Code, the city council adopts and enacts as the residential code of the city the 2022 California Residential Code (CRC), California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 2.5 (based upon the 2021 International Residential Code as published by the International Code Council).
B. One copy of the CRC is on file with the building division for use and examination by the public, along with changes, additions and deletions relating to sections of the CRC as set forth in this chapter. In addition, all subsequent supplements to the CRC and related publications are adopted by reference. [Ord. 22-1505 § 10, 2023.]
15.26.020 Violation – Penalty.
A violation of any provision under this chapter is punishable as a misdemeanor and upon conviction may be punished by a fine not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, or both. [Ord. 22-1505 § 10, 2023.]
