8.32.010 Storage in covered bins required.
No person shall keep or permit to be kept or permit to remain any manure on any premises unless the same is kept in a covered bin or box made of sound metal, brick, stone, concrete or wood, lined with flytight material or buried in the ground and covered with earth, lime or disinfecting or decomposing materials, or other material sufficient to prevent the attraction or breeding of flies or other insects, subject to the approval of the health inspector. 8.32.020 Restrictions on storage near church, school, hospital or places where food stored.
No person shall keep or permit to be kept or permit to remain any manure within one hundred feet of any church, school, hospital or any place where food products are kept or stored or manufactured, or within thirty-five feet of any window or door of any dwelling, hotel or lodginghouse. 8.32.030 Exception.
Nothing contained in Sections 8.32.010 and 8.32.020 shall apply to manure which is spread as fertilizer over or around cultivated plants, vines, vegetables, lawns, bushes, shrubs or trees, or to manure kept by any nursery for commercial fertilizer purposes. (Prior code § 15.8: Ord. 43 Art. 2 § 5)
