GARBAGE DUMPSTERS IN PUBLIC PLACES

12.24.010 Reflectors or warning devices—Required.

All garbage or trash dumpsters placed on city rights-of-way or in public parking areas shall be marked and signed by reflectors or other similar warning devices so as to give warning and notice to the motoring public, vehicles or pedestrians. (Ord. 692 § 1, 1976)

12.24.020 Reflectors or warning devices—Location and design.

Reflectors shall be located in such places and shall be of such design as may be approved by the director of public works of the city. (Ord. 692 § 2, 1976)

12.24.030 City or city council not responsible for design or method of marking.

The city council and the city assume no responsibility for the approval of any particular design or method of marking said containers but merely seek to cooperate with the contractor in making recommendations as to the required reflectors or other devices to be placed on said trash dumpsters in such locations.
