ADOPT-A-LIGHT PROGRAM

12.44.010 Established.
An “adopt-a-light” program is established whereby citizens may request and obtain the installation of additional street lights over and above the city’s established lighting standards if they agree to prepay the annual cost of the additional street light and if the city finds that the resulting street light level is acceptable. The additional street light may be installed and continued in operation as long as the annual cost of operation is prepaid. (Ord. 631 § 1, 1983)
12.44.020 Administrative authority.
The director of public works/city engineer is authorized to arrange for the installation and continued operation of any additional street lights when the annual cost of operation is prepaid and to otherwise administer the adopt-a-light program. (Ord. 631 § 2, 1983)
