§3900 DEPOSIT REQUIRED
A deposit shall be required from all persons applying for water or electric utility service except as hereinafter prescribed and such deposit shall be collected prior to any service connection being made. (Ord. 535, §1.1, adopted 1959; amd. by Ord. 580, §1, adopted 1966)
§3901 WATER AND ELECTRIC SERVICE; AMOUNT OF DEPOSIT
The City Council shall establish by resolution deposit requirements for domestic and commercial water and electric service. "Domestic service" shall mean water or electricity supplied to private residences and for the personal use of individuals and families. "Commercial service" shall mean water or electricity supplied to other than private residences and for any purpose other than the personal use of individuals and families. §3903 RULES GOVERNING DEPOSITS
The City Council shall establish by resolution such rules and regulations governing deposits for utility service as it deems necessary and appropriate. (Ord. 535, §2.3, adopted 1959; amd. by Ord. 696, §2, adopted 1977; Ord. 733, §1, adopted 1979; Ord. 887, adopted 1989)

This Section formerly contained deposit requirements for service which were repealed following the sale of the municipally-owned gas system.
