§5040 CAUTION REQUIRED
Every person using the airport or its facilities in any way shall use the utmost caution to prevent fire. (Ord. 530, §(1), adopted 1958)
§5041 FUELING REGULATIONS
No aircraft shall be fueled or drained while its engine is running, or while in hangar or other enclosed place. Fueling shall be done in such a manner and with such equipment that adequate connections for the grounding of static electricity shall be continuously maintained during such time. (Ord. 530, §(2), adopted 1958)
§5042 STORAGE OF COMPRESSED FLAMMABLE GAS
No cylinder or flask of compressed flammable gas shall be kept or stored except at a place designated by the Airport Manager and Fire Chief of the City for that purpose. (Ord. 530, §(3), adopted 1958)
§5043 CLEANING WITH FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS IN HANGAR PROHIBITED
The cleaning of motors or other parts of aircraft shall not be carried on in any hangar except with nonflammable substance. If flammable liquids shall be employed for this purpose, the operation shall be carried on in the open air. (Ord. 530, §(4), adopted 1958)
§5044 SMOKING PROHIBITED EXCEPT IN AUTHORIZED AREAS
No person shall smoke or ignite any match or cigarette lighter in any hangar or building except in offices, waiting rooms or buildings in which smoking is authorized specifically by the Airport Manager. (Ord. 530, §(5), adopted 1958)
§5045 REPAIRS OF AIRCRAFT IN HANGARS PROHIBITED WITHOUT CONSENT
No aircraft repairs or maintenance of any nature will be allowed in any hangars or buildings, other than an authorized shop, without the express written consent of the Airport Manager and must, in any event, be performed in a manner to minimize fire hazards and present an orderly appearance. §5046 AIRCRAFT SERVICE AREA
An area shall be designated by the City in which any person, firm or corporation operating aircraft on the airport may perform any services on its own aircraft with its own employees (including but not limited to maintenance and repair) that it may choose to perform. Any aircraft operator so using this area must do so in a manner to minimize fire hazards and present an orderly appearance. (Ord. 530, §(6), (b), adopted 1958)
§5047 HANGAR RULES
A. Hangar entrances shall be kept clear at all times.
B. Floors shall be kept clean and free from oil and no volatile flammable solvent shall be used for cleaning floors.
C. No boxes, crates, rubbish, paper or other litter shall be permitted to accumulate in or about any hangar and all oil, paint and varnish cans, bottles or other containers shall be removed from the hangar immediately upon being emptied. (Ord. 530, §(7), (8), (9), adopted 1958)
§5048 AUTOMOBILE PARKING
Automobiles shall be parked in areas designated by the Airport Manager. (Ord. 530, §(10), adopted 1958)
§5049 AIRCRAFT PARKING
All aircraft must be parked in the areas designated by the Airport Manager. (Ord. 530, §(11), adopted 1958)
