§5025 OPERATING AIRCRAFT WHILE UNDER INFLUENCE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR OR DRUGS PROHIBITED
No person shall take any aircraft from the landing area or hangars or operate such craft while under the influence of or using an intoxicating liquor or habit-forming drug. (Ord. 530, §1-10(a), adopted 1958)
§5026 REPAIRING AIRCRAFT ON LANDING OR TAKEOFF AREA PROHIBITED
No aircraft shall be permitted to remain on any part of the landing or takeoff area for the purpose of repairs if it is possible to move it, and all repairs shall be effected at the places designated therefor. (Ord. 530, §1-10(b), adopted 1958)
§5027 WRECKED AIRCRAFT
Every aircraft owner, his pilot and agents, severally, shall be responsible for the prompt removal, under the direction of the Airport Manager, of wrecked aircraft. (Ord. 530, §1-10(c), adopted 1958)
§5028 CLEARANCE MAY BE REFUSED UNTIL CHARGES PAID
The Airport Manager may refuse clearance to any aircraft until all charges for storage, supplies or services rendered to it shall have been paid. (Ord. 530, §1-10(d), adopted 1958)
§5029 TAIL OR NOSE WHEELS REQUIRED ON RUNWAY
No aircraft shall use paved runways unless equipped with tail wheels or nose wheels; and no aircraft shall operate on any part of the airport with tail skids with such insufficient base area as to cause damage to airport surface. (Ord. 530, §1-10(e), adopted 1958)
§5030 HIGH R.P.M. IN TIE-DOWN AREA PROHIBITED
High R.P.M. of aircraft in tie-down areas shall be avoided. (Ord. 530, §1-10(f), adopted 1958)
§5031 VEHICULAR TRAFFIC TO OBEY REGULATIONS
Vehicular traffic shall obey all regulations. No autos are allowed on taxiway. Only aircraft owners’ autos are allowed in the tie-down area or the hangar area south of the administration building. (Ord. 530, §1-10(g, h), adopted 1958)
§5032 INSTRUCTION AND PRACTICE FLYING
A. Every person instructing students in flying at the airport shall acquaint them with the rules and regulations in effect thereat.
B. The Airport Manager, by appropriate notices, may restrict practice flights and student training to portions of the airport designated by him.
C. No aircraft shall remain on the land or takeoff area for the purpose of instructing students between flights. (Ord. 530, §1-11, adopted 1958)
§5033 STARTING AND RUNNING ENGINES; BRAKE SET
No aircraft engine shall be started on an aircraft not equipped with adequate brakes which are fully set, unless the wheels have been set with blocks that are equipped with ropes or other suitable means for removing them. (Ord. 530, §1-(1), adopted 1958)
§5034 STARTING AND RUNNING ENGINES; OPERATOR TO BE AT CONTROLS
No aircraft engine shall be started or run unless a competent operator shall be at the controls of the aircraft. (Ord. 530, §1-(2), adopted 1958)
§5035 CLEARANCE FROM HANGAR WHILE ENGINE OPERATING
Aircraft must be operated with sufficient clearance from all hangars, buildings, obstructions, etc., to prevent damage or injury from collision, dust, propeller blast, fire and other dangers. Aircraft must be pushed or pulled with engine inoperative into or out of all hangars and in no event shall an engine be started or run in any hangar, building or enclosure. §5036 PRIOR FLIGHT SAFETY RULES TO BE COMPLIED WITH
Any and all flight safety rules approved by the City Council prior to the approval of this Chapter will also be complied with. (Ord. 530, §IV, adopted 1958)
