PUBLIC USE AND OPEN SPACE DISTRICT (PU/OS)

18.35.010 Purpose.
The purpose of the public use and open space district (PU/OS) shall be to provide areas for recreational activities and/or to create and preserve open space areas for aesthetic and public use or private use. All uses within the public use and open space district shall be compatible with the protection of natural and scenic resources for the benefit of present and future generations. [Ord. 230, 2016.]
18.35.020 Permitted uses.
Permitted uses for the PU/OS district are limited to the following:
A. Parks and playgrounds.
B. Nonmotorized, recreational pathways.
C. Public golf courses.
D. Schools.
E. Sports fields/courts. [Ord. 230, 2016.]
18.35.030 Conditional uses.
Conditional uses for the PU/OS district are limited to the following:
A. Motorized recreational trails.
B. Personal wireless service facilities or wireless communications facilities, excluding freestanding towers, in accordance with Chapter 18.105 DCC (freestanding towers are prohibited).
C. Aboveground flammable and combustible liquid tanks utilized by a public use.
D. Municipal uses.
