5.92.010 Pet shop and small animal store defined.

“Small animal store” or “pet shop” includes any establishment for the selling of dogs, cats, birds, mice, rats or other small animals for hire or profit, or where more than three dogs or cats are harbored or kept.

5.92.020 License required.

It is unlawful to operate a small animal store anywhere in the village without first securing a license therefor. The annual fee for such license shall be fifty dollars for the first two thousand square feet of floor area and twelve dollars and fifty cents for each additional one thousand square feet of floor area or fraction thereof, but in no event shall the fee exceed three hundred fifty dollars. 5.92.030 Sanitation.

Every place used as a small animal shop or pet shop shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition, and no refuse or waste material shall be allowed to remain thereon for more than twenty-four hours. All animals shall be humanely treated. Any animal having any disease shall be properly isolated and treated.
