2.10.010 Powers – Duties.
The city manager is the chief administrative officer of the city, and must perform the duties set forth in Charter Section 23. (Ord. 8-2021 § 2 (Exh. A); Ord. 6-1995 § 2)
2.10.020 Salary.
Compensation for the city manager shall be determined by the city council, generally through negotiations of an initial employment agreement. Salary increases beyond general increases to city employees shall be based upon satisfactory performance evaluations. The city manager shall, however, not receive less than any increases granted to general employees of the city. (Ord. 8-2021 § 2 (Exh. A); Ord. 6-1995 § 3)
2.10.030 Performance evaluations.
The city council and the city manager shall establish performance standards that shall be the basis of annual reviews by the city council of the city manager. These annual reviews shall be the basis for yearly salary increases and shall be used as the standard for continued employment. (Ord. 8-2021 § 2 (Exh. A); Ord. 6-1995 § 4)
2.10.040 Encompassed by personnel policies.
The city manager position, as herein described, shall become a part and be encompassed by the city of Fairview’s personnel policies. (Ord. 8-2021 § 2 (Exh. A); Ord. 6-1995 § 5)
