OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENTAL ADMINISTRATION

9.20.010 Obstructing a police officer.
A. A person commits the crime of obstructing a police officer if that person intentionally or knowingly interferes with or obstructs another person, knowing the other person to be a police officer, and while such other person is acting in the course of official duty.
B. Violation of this section is punishable as a Class A misdemeanor. (Ord. 88-7 § 8.10)
9.20.020 Providing false information to a police officer.
A. A person commits the crime of providing false information to a police officer if that person intentionally or knowingly uses a false or fictitious name, intentionally or knowingly gives a false or fictitious address or intentionally or knowingly gives a false date of birth to another person, knowing the other person to be a police officer, while the police officer is investigating any crime or any violation of any city ordinance or state statute.
B. Violation of this section is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor. (Ord. 88-7 § 8.20)
9.20.030 Impersonation of public servant.
A. No person shall, with intent to obtain a benefit or to injure or defraud another, falsely impersonate a public servant and do an act in such assumed character.
B. Impersonating a public servant is a Class B misdemeanor. (Ord. 88-7 § 8.30)
9.20.040 False reports.
A. No person shall knowingly initiate a false alarm or report which is transmitted to a fire department or law enforcement agency or other organization that deals with emergencies involving danger to life or property.
B. No person shall knowingly make or file with the police department or with the city attorney or a police officer engaged in his official duties a false, misleading or unfounded statement or report concerning the offense or alleged offense of violating a city ordinance or the commission or alleged commission of a crime.
C. Violation of a provision of this section is punishable as a Class C misdemeanor. (Ord. 88-7 § 8.40)
9.20.050 Disturbing police or fire communication.
A. No person shall operate any generator of electromagnetic waves or cause a disturbance of such magnitude as to interfere with the proper functioning of any police or fire department radio communication system.
B. Violation of a provision of this section is a Class C misdemeanor. (Ord. 88-7 § 8.50)
9.20.060 Deliveries to prisoners.
A. No person shall deliver, by any means whatsoever, intoxicating liquor, dangerous drugs or narcotic drugs, as defined by state law, to a person confined in the city holding facility.
B. Violation of this section is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor. (Ord. 88-7 § 8.60)
9.20.070 Obstruction of fire hydrant.
A. It is unlawful for the owner of property adjacent to a street upon which is located a fire hydrant to place or maintain within eight feet of such hydrant any bush, shrub or tree or other obstruction.
B. Violation of a provision of this section is a Class C misdemeanor. (Ord. 88-7 § 8.70)
9.20.080 Disorderly conduct at fire.
A. It is unlawful for any person at or near a fire to obstruct or impede the fighting of the fire, interfere with fire department personnel or fire department apparatus, behave in a disorderly manner, or refuse to observe or obey an order of a member of the fire or police department.
B. Violation of a provision of this section is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor. (Ord. 88-7 § 8.80)
