ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE (ARC)

3.65.050 Organization and procedure.
3.65.010 Establishment.
There is hereby established an Architectural Review Committee (ARC). [Ord. 24-08 § 2.]
3.65.020 Purpose.
The ARC shall function as a subcommittee of the Planning Commission. The ARC shall review all applicable development plans for compliance with the design standards set forth in the Syracuse City Land Use Ordinance, including elevations, architectural details, and development designs, and shall make recommendations to the Planning Commission. 3.65.030 Membership.
The ARC shall consist of seven members. Membership shall be comprised of City residents, no more than two Planning Commissioners, and City staff. Members shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. The Planning Commission Chair may recommend candidates for the Mayor’s consideration. [Ord. 24-08 § 2.]
3.65.040 Terms of office.
Members shall serve terms of four years and shall continue to serve until a successor is appointed. Terms shall be staggered so that no more than two members’ terms shall expire each year. Members may be removed by the City Council at any time with or without cause. [Ord. 24-08 § 2.]
3.65.050 Organization and procedure.
Members shall annually elect a Chair and Vice-Chair. Members may adopt such rules for their own proceedings as are consistent with law. Meetings shall be held at the call of the Chair. Meetings shall comply with the Open and Public Meetings Act. [Ord. 24-08 § 2.]
3.65.060 Compensation.
Members shall not receive compensation for their service but may receive per diem and travel expenses incurred in the performance of the official duties. [Ord. 24-08 § 2.]
