TAMPERING WITH STREETLIGHTS

4.06.010 Tampering with streetlight.
It shall be unlawful for any person, without the prior permission of the Streets Superintendent, to:
(A) Modify, deface, damage, break, destroy or remove any streetlight or streetlight component or streetlight accessory owned, operated or placed by the City;
(B) Temporarily or permanently place, affix or attach any item to any streetlight or streetlight component or streetlight accessory owned, operated or placed by the City; or
(C) Temporarily or permanently interfere with the proper operation of any streetlight or streetlight component or streetlight accessory owned, operated or placed by the City. [Ord. 24-13 § 1.]
4.06.020 Violations.
(A) Except as provided in this section, violations of SCC 4.06.010 shall be resolved pursuant to SCC Title 6.
(B) The Streets Superintendent is hereby designated as an enforcement officer for violations of SCC 4.06.010.
(C) The Streets Superintendent may immediately and without prior notice abate any violation of SCC 4.06.010. [Ord. 24-13 § 1.]
4.06.030 Penalties.
In addition to the civil penalties allowed by SCC Title 6, any person who violates SCC 4.06.010 shall also be required to reimburse the City for actual costs of abatement, repair or replacement. [Ord. 24-13 § 1.]
