3.54.010 Established – Purpose.
There is created and established a special fund to be designated the “municipal park fund,” to be used for the payment of salaries, wages, materials and supplies necessary for the maintenance, operation, administration and development of the municipal parks. 3.54.020 Administration.
The municipal park fund created in this chapter shall be administered by the director of public works or his authorized representative. (Ord. 1315 § 2, 1970; prior code § 1-2902)
3.54.030 Scope of moneys in fund.
The park fund shall include all gifts, donations, devises, bequests, legacies and rents received, and all levies and appropriations made for park purposes by the city council. (Ord. 1394 § 5, 1974; prior code § 2-205)
3.54.040 Accumulation of unexpended moneys.
All moneys deposited in the municipal park fund and not expended for the purposes provided for in this chapter shall remain in the fund from year to year and shall not be transferred to any other fund or expended for any other purpose whatsoever, except for the uses and needs stated in this chapter. 3.54.050 Transfer upon abolition.
If, at any time after the adoption of the ordinance codified in this chapter, the city council should abolish the municipal park fund, all moneys on deposit in the fund shall be transferred to the current expense fund of the city. (Ord. 1315 § 4, 1970; prior code § 1-2904)
3.54.060 Expenditures on voucher.
All expenditures from the municipal park fund shall be made only upon duly approved vouchers of the city for the purposes ascribed to the fund in this chapter. (Ord. 1315 § 5, 1970; prior code § 1-2905)
