8.20.010 Pest control program established.
A pest control program for the town is established which shall be maintained and operated as set forth in this chapter. (Ord. 176 § 1, 1953)
8.20.020 Direction and supervision.
The performance contemplated under this chapter shall be under the direction and supervision of the officials and employees and agents of the town. (Ord. 176 § 2, 1953)
8.20.030 Pest control fund—Established—Revenues and expenditures.
There is established a pest control fund of the town. All moneys collected by the town of such pest control program shall be placed in such fund and expenses of such program shall be paid therefrom and the town council may also provide for additional revenues to paid into such fund from time to time. 8.20.040 Assessment to owners or occupants.
Every owner or occupant of premises in the town is required to pay to the town, in the manner specified in Section 8.20.050, such assessment as may be made or levied by the town to defray the expense of such pest control. (Ord. 176 § 4, 1953)
8.20.050 Assessment—Delinquency—Lien.
The town shall make an assessment from time to time against each occupant or owner of premises within the town by prorating the expense of such pest control program among such occupants and owners. The amount of assessment shall be turned over to the town clerk-treasurer, who shall enter the charges for the same on the water bills to be mailed out to the users next following the date of such assessment, and such assessment shall be payable at the same time such water bill becomes payable. On failure to pay such charge, the amount thereof shall become a lien against the property for which such pest control service was rendered. Should such pest control charge become delinquent the water service on such premises may be discontinued under the same terms as for failure to pay such water service. (Ord. 176 § 5, 1953)
8.20.060 Violation—Penalty.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not to exceed twenty-five dollars for each offense. (Ord. 176 § 6, 1953)
