10.28.010 Adoption of state rules and regulations.

The Washington State Highway Commission has adopted rules and regulations for the movement of mobile homes, modular building units and sectional buildings on the state highway system, under WAC 468-38-120, as amended through November 1990. The city wishes to adopt and supplement said regulations to include “buildings,” which shall mean residential and nonresidential structures suitable for movement by trailer or other vehicle. These regulations, and any amendments hereafter, are adopted as if set out in full. Copies of WAC 468-38-120 are on file in the city clerk-treasurer’s office. [Ord. 90-12, 1990].

10.28.020 Issuance of permits.

A. The city clerk-treasurer’s office, with approval from the public works supervisor, is authorized to issue permits for the movement of such units and/or buildings as described in this chapter and in WAC 468-38-120, on city streets and city arterial streets.

B. The permit will be issued subject to compliance with all restrictions in WAC 468-38-120. Permit fees will be $25.00. Permits must be requested, in writing, at least one week in advance of the date requested for the movement of the unit/building. [Ord. 90-12, 1990].
