13.16.010 Point of sale designated.

The city public works director is authorized to designate point of sales as follows:

A. 360 A Street SW, the public works facilities. [Ord. 2009-10 § 2, 2009].

13.16.011 Point of sale designated – Special projects.

The city public works director is authorized to designate point of sales as follows:

A. Intersection of Powell Road and Pioneer Avenue NE for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad usage;

B. At points where contractors were required to install new hydrant as outlined in CRMC 13.16.021. [Ord. 2009-10 § 3, 2009].

13.16.020 Retail water sales – Fees.

There shall be imposed a fee of $0.05 per gallon of water, in addition to a meter charge of $43.18 per customer for each calendar month or partial month of meter use. A retail water sales application must be completed by the customer and hydrant arrangements made with the public works director prior to any sales becoming final. 13.16.021 Retail water sales – Anticipated sales exceeding 1,000,000 gallons within a consecutive two-month period – Fees and requirements.

Contractors that anticipate using more than 1,000,000 gallons within a two-month period shall:

A. At a location prescribed by the public works director, install a new hydrant, at the contractor’s cost, which will be in lieu of a service connection fee; and

B. Provide a deposit, determined by the public works director, which is based on the cost sufficient to replace a two and one-half inch hydrant meter; and

C. Be imposed a fee of $0.075 per gallon plus the monthly base fee. [Ord. 2009-10 § 3, 2009].

13.16.022 Additional fees.

At the direction of the public works director, special circumstances requiring public works personnel to provide services shall be billed at the applicable rate, which includes the cost of salary and benefits. [Ord. 2009-10 § 3, 2009].

13.16.030 Violation.

It shall be unlawful to obtain water for private or commercial use from the city’s hydrants other than designated through this chapter. Violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor. [Ord. 2009-07, 2009; Ord. 2008-14, 2008; Ord. 565 § 3, 1983].
