NO-SHOOTING ZONE AT CAMAS MEADOWS

7.68.010 Established—Statutory authority.
Pursuant to RCW 9.41.300(2)(a), a no-shooting zone area is established. (Res. 2000-120 (part), 10/3/00).
7.68.020 Prohibited.
The discharge of any firearm in the Camas Meadows no-shooting zone is prohibited as a reasonable likelihood that humans, domestic animals or property would otherwise be jeopardized. (Res. 2000-120 (part), 10/3/00).
7.68.030 Definitions.
“Firearm” means a weapon or device from which a projectile or projectiles may be fired by an explosive such as gunpowder. The definition of “firearm” includes the terms pistol, rifle, short-barreled rifle, shotgun, short-barreled shotgun, machine gun, and antique firearm as those terms are defined in RCW 9.41.010 now and as hereafter may be amended. 7.68.040 Prohibition effective when.
The prohibition on discharge of firearms in the Camas Meadows no-shooting zone is effective twenty-four hours a day, each day of the year, unless or until the resolution codified in this chapter is amended. (Res. 2000-120 (part), 10/3/00).
7.68.050 Legal description.
The Camas Meadows no-shooting zone is legally described as follows:
The Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter and the East half of the East half of the Southeast quarter of Section 21, Township 23 North, Range 18 E., W.M., and Section 22, Township 23 North, Range 18 E., W.M., and the West half of the West half of Section 26, Township 23 North, Range 18 E., W.M., and Section 27, Township 23 North, Range 18 E., W.M., and the East half of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter and the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 28, Township 23 North, Range 18 E., W.M., and as depicted on Exhibit “A” to this resolution.

7.68.060 Posting of signs.
The Camas Meadows no-shooting zone shall be posted with signs around the perimeter of the legal description thereof. Said signs shall notify the public that said restriction is in place at all times within the described legal boundaries of the zone and the definition of firearms for purposes of this chapter, as well as the penalty for violation of this chapter. 7.68.070 Violation—Penalty.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a gross misdemeanor; punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a fine of five thousand dollars. (Res. 2000-120 (part), 10/3/00).
