24.12.300 Sanitary landfill, leachate control.

The plans for a sanitary landfill shall include provisions for interception and treatment of leachate at all sites if required by Clark County public health. Interception and treatment may be required. If provision is not made for interception and treatment of leachate, there shall be a contingency plan to take care of any developing leachate problem. A sampling and testing program for the leachate and its treated effluent may be required by Clark County public health. A monitoring program for sampling and testing of ground water in nearby aquifers for leachate shall be required at all sites at which there will be disposal of putrescible material. (Sec. 30, Ord.
