COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE

2.78.010 Committees.

The provisions of this chapter shall apply to appointments to the following committees:

(1) Airport commission;

(2) Emergency medical services council;

(3) Air quality advisory commission;

(4) Asotin/Garfield community network;

(5) Urban forestry commission; and

2.78.020 Requirements.

All candidates must meet the following requirements:

(1) U.S. Citizen;

(2) Clarkston resident for one year; and

(3) Eighteen years of age. [Ord. 1280 § 1, 1997; Ord. 1255 § 1, 1997.]

2.78.030 Procedures.

The following procedures shall be followed in making appointments to the committees identified in CMC 2.78.010:

(1) All candidates shall submit an application to the mayor. The application shall contain the following information:

(a) Name;

(b) Address;

(c) Telephone number;

(d) Qualifications, experience and interests in the field;

(e) Reason for wanting to serve on the committee;

(f) Applicant’s view of the responsibilities of the position; and

(g) Information about applicant’s community service.
