AGRICULTURAL RESIDENTIAL ZONE (AR-2)1

18.40.010 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter, providing for the establishment of an AR-2 zone, is as follows:
A. Trends indicate a movement towards the development of small acreage tracts for agricultural, residential, and recreational uses. Therefore, the AR-2 zone areas are designated to fulfill these needs.
B. To provide a reasonable lot size standard for areas that tend to have some small degree of environmental sensitivity but are not considered environmentally sensitive.
C. To provide for better zoning transition.
D. To ensure the compatibility of the farming, forestry, residential, and recreational uses of these areas.
E. To protect against water pollution in areas that have high ground water tables.
