OFFICERS’ BONDS AND INDEMNIFICATION

2.20.010 Officers’ bonds required.
The clerk, treasurer and marshal shall, before entering upon their respective duties, furnish and execute a bond conditioned for the faithful performance of their duties, including the duties of all offices of which they are made ex officio incumbents. (Ord. 2 § 1, 1959)
2.20.020 Council approval required.
Each such bond shall be approved by the town council. (Ord. 2 § 2, 1959)
2.20.030 Treasurer – Bond amount.
The treasurer shall furnish a bond in the penal sum of $10,000. (Ord. 2 § 3, 1959)
2.20.040 Marshal – Bond amount.
The marshal shall furnish a bond in the penal sum of $2,000. (Ord. 2 § 4, 1959)
2.20.050 Clerk – Bond amount.
The clerk shall furnish a bond in the penal sum of $2,000. (Ord. 2 § 5, 1959)
2.20.060 Insurance procurement for town officials, employees and agents.
The town shall hereafter procure insurance with minimum policy limits of $1,000,000 to protect and hold personally harmless its officials, employees and agents from any action, claim, or proceeding instituted against any of said individuals arising out of the performance, purported performance, or failure of performance, in good faith of duties for, or employment with, the town of Coulee Dam. (Ord. 444 § 1, 1994)
2.20.070 Officers’ indemnification established.
The town of Coulee Dam shall indemnify and hold harmless these individuals from any expenses connected with the defense, settlement, or monetary judgments from such actions, claims, or proceedings. (Ord. 444 § 2, 1994)
