OFFICERS’ BONDS

2.32.010 Bonds required.
The following named officers and employees of the city shall, before assuming the duties of their office, give a surety bond to the city for the honest and faithful performance of their duties, such bonds to be in the following amounts:
A. Accounting clerk, $5,000;
B. Utility clerk, $5,000;
C. Municipal judge, $5,000;
D. City clerk, $5,000;
E. Treasurer, $5,000. (Ord. 469 § 1, 1984)
2.32.020 Approval – Filing.
The bonds provided for in DPMC 2.32.010 shall be approved by the mayor and the city attorney as to form and execution and shall be accepted and approved by the city council and shall be filed with the city clerk, and after such approval the city shall pay a reasonable premium to the surety company furnishing such bonds. 2.32.030 Employees handling city funds – Bonds required.
The mayor may require any employee of the city who at any time is charged with the care and custody of city funds to give a surety bond to the city for the honest and faithful performance of their duties and the amount of the bonds shall be subject to the approval of the council.
