2.08.010 Change of name.
Pursuant to Ch. 6, Sec. 1, Laws of 1972, 2nd Ex. Sess., the county department of civil defense shall, after the effective date of the enactment codified in this chapter, be known as the county department of emergency services. (Prior code § 2.16.010)
2.08.020 Civil defense council.
Douglas County and the incorporated cities thereof join in the establishment of the civil defense council, which shall consist of the mayors of the cities and the board of county commissioners. (Prior code § 2.16.020)
2.08.030 Fund.
The parties to the civil defense council establish a fund, which shall be known as the “Douglas County Civil Defense Fund,” the moneys of which shall be deposited with the county treasurer, and all expenditures therefrom shall be authorized by the council. (Prior code § 2.16.030)
2.08.040 Cities to appropriate funds.
It is further agreed that, unless otherwise decided by the council at regular meeting, the cities shall include an appropriate amount for civil defense purposes in their proposed budget for 1958 and all subsequent years. (Prior code § 2.16.040)
2.08.050 Council to apply for matching funds.
The council or its authorized representative shall apply for matching funds from the state and the United States of America, in accordance with stipulations set forth in RCW 38.52 and 50 USC App. 2251 et seq. (Prior code § 2.16.050)
