2.28.010 Established.

The city transportation advisory committee is established for the general purpose of advising the mayor and city council on transportation problems within the city. (Ord. 380-75 § 1, 1975)

2.28.020 Functions.

The functions of the transportation advisory committee shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

A.    The study of the general traffic problems of the city and the proposal of constructive steps toward the solution of those problems;

B.    The study of the extent and type of transit services to be made available to the residents of Everett;

C.    Participation in long-range transportation planning;

D.    Participation in traffic safety planning for the city. (Ord. 380-75 § 2, 1975)

2.28.030 Membership.

Repealed by Ord. 2050-95. (Ord. 380-75 § 3, 1975)

2.28.040 Agendas and recording secretary.

The engineering department shall prepare agendas and provide a recording secretary for the transportation advisory committee meetings. (Ord. 380-75 § 4, 1975)

2.28.050 Procedural rules.

The committee shall establish its own rules for the conduct of its business and shall elect its own chairman. The committee may divide into task force committees or subcommittees to work on particular problems as requested by the mayor or the city council. (Ord. 380-75 § 5, 1975)
