2.32.010 Established.

The office of marshal shall hereafter be designated as the chief of police and the office shall be appointed by the city manager. (Ord. 1389 § 19, 2005; Ord. 713 § 1, 1978; Ord. 587 § 1, 1968).

2.32.020 Duties.

The chief of police shall be responsible for and be in charge of policing and patrolling the city, enforcing all laws and ordinances in general; perform all duties and exercise all powers pertaining to such office as provided by law and ordinances of the city. (Ord. 587 § 2, 1968).
