Article I. Meetings
2.04.010 Regular meetings held when – Conveying of special meetings.
The regular meetings of the Kittitas city council shall be held at 6:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Special meetings may be convened as necessary to conduct official business. Such meetings may be called by the mayor or any two council members by giving 24 hours’ notice to each member within the city of Kittitas and by notifying the local press as required by Chapter 42.30 RCW. 2.04.020 Meetings open to public.
All meetings of the Kittitas city council that are open to the public shall be held at City Hall, 207 North Main Street, Kittitas, Washington. (Ord. 11-001 § 1; Ord. 99-598 § 1).
2.04.030 Executive sessions.
The Kittitas city council may hold executive sessions during a regular or special meeting to consider certain matters as set forth in RCW 42.30.110 as now enacted or hereafter amended. (Ord. 09-011 § 1; Ord. 99-598 § 1).
Article II. Compensation
2.04.040 Reimbursement for expenses incurred.
The mayor and council members shall be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in the discharge of their official duties upon presentation of a claim therefor after the claim has been approved for payment by the city council. (Ord. 99-598 § 1).
2.04.050 Salary of the mayor and compensation of council members.
The mayor of the city of Kittitas shall be paid a salary of $500.00 per month. Each council member shall receive a compensation of $50.00 per month. (Ord. 15-005 § 1; Ord. 02-683 § 1; Ord. 99-598 § 1).
2.04.060 Service as volunteer firefighters or reserve law enforcement officers.
Pursuant to the provisions of RCW 35A.11.110, council members of the city of Kittitas, Washington, are hereby authorized to serve as volunteer firefighters, volunteer ambulance personnel, or reserve law enforcement officers as applicable and to receive the same compensation, insurance, and other benefits applicable to other volunteer firefighters, volunteer ambulance personnel, or reserve law enforcement officers employed by the city.
