RATES FOR DISHONORED CHECKS

3.36.010 Dishonored checks.
Any check submitted to the city of Kittitas for any service that is subsequently unpaid by the bank on which it is drawn is considered dishonored. (Ord. 08-019 § 1; Ord. 99-602 § 1).
3.36.020 Redemption.
A dishonored check must be redeemed by the check writer at the office of the city clerk-treasurer. (Ord. 08-019 § 2; Ord. 99-602 § 2).
3.36.030 Payment.
Redemption of the dishonored check shall be made only by payment in full either by cash, bank cashier’s check or money order. (Ord. 08-019 § 3; Ord. 99-602 § 3).
3.36.040 Fee.
In addition to the redemption of the dishonored check, a charge of $35.00 shall be collected for processing and handling the dishonored check. (Ord. 08-019 § 4; Ord. 99-602 § 4).
