WATER RATES
(1) Rates and charges are as follows:
(a) Water Meter Rates.

(A) Volume included with base: 10,000 gallons.
Plus:
(B) Residential: 10,001 to 15,000 gallons at $0.69 per 1,000 gallons; 15,001 gallons and over at $0.77 per 1,000 gallons.
(C) Multifamily (four or more units): 10,001 gallons and over at $0.73 per 1,000 gallons.
(D) Low-income senior citizens: 10,001 to 15,000 gallons at $0.44 per 1,000 gallons; 15,001 gallons and over at $0.69 per 1,000 gallons.
(E) Commercial: 10,001 to 50,000 gallons at $0.84 per 1,000 gallons; 50,001 to 100,000 gallons at $0.93 per 1,000 gallons; 100,001 gallons and over at $1.76 per 1,000 gallons.
(F) Out-of-town: appropriate schedule plus 36.85 percent.
Bulk rate (water only): $8.58 per 1,000 gallons.
Rates as listed in subsection (1)(a) of this section become effective April 2024 usage.
A service order fee of $25.00 shall be charged on all existing homes as a hookup and/or inactive fee. This fee is to cover the administration costs incurred by the city in rendering the accounts inactive and in reestablishing the active account.
A deposit in the amount of $100.00 shall be required and collected on all new water/sewer accounts.
The applicable fees for disconnecting and reconnecting the water service will be $25.00 for disconnecting the water and $50.00 for reconnecting the water.
For tampering with the lock, the person shall pay $5.00 to replace the lock and/or replacement cost for any other equipment plus the cost of labor and equipment usage to replace the angle meter valve and the modular wire.
All water and sewer connections applied for and granted after July 7, 2005, shall be charged a connection fee as follows:

Calculate = base rate divided by 60, times the number of feet in excess, plus base rate.
Water: $60.00 per additional unit.
