SEWER RATES

Inside City Limits:

Occupancy or Use.

(1) Sewer Rates. Based on equivalent residential units (ERUs).

(a) Base monthly rate of $58.97 per ERU or a maximum of 5,248 gallons used. One living unit is the equivalent of one ERU.

(b) Low income/senior citizen sewer base rate of $51.72.

(c) The ERU value will be determined annually by calculating all residential water usage during the previous five-month winter use period (November, December, January, February, and March). The effective date of the new ERU value will be April 1st of each subsequent year. In no event shall any account be charged less than one ERU.

(d) The number of sewers charged on commercial accounts will be determined annually by calculating the average water consumption over the previous 12-month calendar period.

(e) A service order fee of $25.00 shall be charged on all existing homes as a hookup and/or inactive fee. This fee is to cover the administration costs incurred by the city in rendering the accounts inactive and in reestablishing the active account.

Calculate base rate divided by 60, times the number of feet in excess, plus base rate.

(2) All sewer connections applied for shall be reviewed by the city engineer and city council of the city of Kittitas.

(3) Before the installation of a sewer service connection takes place, the above fees must be paid in full. Additional fees will be assessed for labor and materials.

(4) All sewer hookups for multiple usage applied for shall be reviewed and approved by the city engineer and city council of the city of Kittitas.

Sewer $60.00 per additional unit.
