2.30.010 Created – Jurisdiction.
Pursuant to RCW 41.26.110, there is created a disability board having jurisdiction over all members of the police and fire departments of the city in accordance with said state law and for the purposes therein specified, including any and all subsequent amendments, modifications, additions or other changes in state law. (Ord. 1553 § 1, 1972).
2.30.020 Members – Terms – Compensation.
(1) The disability board shall be composed of five members, two of said members to be appointed by the mayor from the members of the city council, one fire fighter to be elected by the fire fighters employed by the city, one law enforcement officer to be elected by the law enforcement officers employed by the city and one member from the public at large, who shall be a resident of the city, said members to be appointed by the aforesaid four members.
(2) All members shall serve for two-year terms.
(3) The members shall receive no compensation for their service but shall be reimbursed for all travel expenses incidental to such service in the amount authorized by state law. (Ord. 1553 § 2, 1972).
