*For the statutory provisions requiring that all city offices shall be kept open during such days and hours as the legislative body of the city shall by ordinance prescribe, see RCW 35A.21.070.

2.66.010 Business hours for city offices.

All offices and departments of the city shall be kept open for the transaction of business with the public from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (standard time or daylight savings time, whichever is the official time for the state on any particular date), four days per week, Monday through Thursday, excepting legal holidays, provided the city manager may authorize any office or department to vary from these hours where it will promote the efficiency of the office or department and provide adequate service to the public. The city manager may also authorize the temporary changes to these days and hours, including closure of offices and departments of the city, from time to time for purposes of employee safety.
