BUDGET PROCESS

3.10.010 Biennial process adopted.
The City of Mountlake Terrace hereby adopts a fiscal biennial budget process as authorized pursuant to Chapter 35A.34 RCW, as now or hereafter amended. The biennial budget process for the City of Mountlake Terrace will begin with the 2003-2004 biennium. (Ord. 2316 § 1, 2002).
3.10.020 Mid-biennial review.
As required by RCW 35A.34.130, each biennial budget of the City shall be subject to a mid-biennial review and modification of the biennial budget; provided, such review and modification shall occur no sooner than eight months after the start, nor later than the conclusion, of the first year of the fiscal biennium. (Ord. 2346 § 1, 2003).
3.10.030 Publication of notice of hearings.
The City Manager shall prepare the proposed budget modification and submit the modification to the City Council for review and approval. The City Manager shall provide for publication of notice of hearings, consistent with publication of notices for adoption of other City ordinances. (Ord. 2346 § 1, 2003).
3.10.040 Transmittal of copy of budget modification.
Copies of the proposed mid-biennial modification shall be made available to the public through the City Clerk. The Clerk shall transmit a complete copy of the budget modification, as adopted, to the State Auditor and to the Association of Washington Cities. (Ord. 2346 § 1, 2003).
