12.12.010 Plan adopted.
The system and plan shown on a certain plat filed with the city clerk-treasurer on the day of adoption of the ordinance codified in part in this section is adopted as the basis for a plan for numbering the houses of the city. The houses of the city shall be numbered as indicated on the plat and in accordance with the notations and explanations attached thereto. (Ord. 100 § 1, 1921)
12.12.020 Allotment of numbers.
The mayor of the city is authorized to proceed to allot house numbers in accordance with the terms of OMC 12.12.010, the plat referred to therein and this section. He may delegate the carrying out of his duties to such persons, committees or commissions as he may from time to time see fit. (Ord. 100 § 2, 1921)
12.12.030 Display – Required.
Every dwelling unit and commercial building located within the city limits shall have affixed thereto its proper street address number. The number shall be a minimum of four inches in height, shall be located near the main entrance so as to be plainly visible from the street, and shall be in a color contrasting with the background color upon which it is placed. 12.12.040 Display – Noncompliance.
Any owner or lessee who fails, neglects or refuses to install and maintain house numbers as provided in OMC 12.12.030 is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject to a fine of not to exceed $100.00. (Ord. 526 § 2, 1977)
