PLANNING COMMISSION, PLANNING DEPARTMENT AND BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT1

2.64.010 Planning department established.
A planning department of the county, to be organized and function as any other department of the county, is established. (Ord. 71-1, W-528, § 1, 1971).
2.64.020 Planning commission established.
A planning commission of the county, to be composed of seven members, which shall assist the planning department in carrying out its duties, is established. Two members shall be appointed from each Okanogan County commissioner district with one member appointed from the county at-large. Such members shall be appointed to the planning commission as provided in RCW 36.70.070 through 36.70.120. Said planning commission shall organize itself and conduct its business in accordance with RCW 36.70.120 through 36.70.180. (Ord. 2016-1 Att. A, 2016; Ord. 71-1, W-528, § 2, 1971).
2.64.030 Board of adjustment established.
A board of adjustment, composed of seven members, who shall be appointed by the board of county commissioners as provided in RCW 36.70.220 through 36.70.250 is established. The board of adjustment shall conduct itself as provided in RCW 36.70.260 through 36.70.280. (Amendment No. 1 to Ord. 71-1, 1981; Ord. 71-1, W-258, § 3, 1971).
2.64.040 Advisory committees.
Area advisory committees of sufficient number to provide the planning commission with adequate sources of advice and counsel on matters pertaining to specific areas within the county are established. (Ord. 71-1, W-258, § 4, 1971).
