2.19.010 Established.

There is established a recreation department in the city. (Ord. 1031 § 1 (part), 1999).

2.19.020 Powers and duties.

The recreation department shall be responsible to the city administrator for effective administration and shall have all the powers and perform such other duties as provided by state laws, this code, ordinances, resolutions and the direction of the city administrator. (Ord. 1031 § 1 (part), 1999).

2.19.030 Appointment and duties of director.

(a)    The mayor, or his designee, shall appoint the recreation director. This position may be filled by an employee of the city or by a contract with a person suitable to perform the duties assigned as directed by the city council.

(b)    The director shall be responsible to the mayor, or his designee, for management of the recreation department, supervision of any department personnel, department budget, and for the effective administration, construction and development of the public recreation system.
